Future of web development/programming?

What web-programming language will be the standard and easy to use in the future? Can i just use code generators like CodeCharge Studio to generate code for my web database system? Can i use code generators if i work in a software company?

In server-side terms, I doubt any one will be a "standard," but you'll never go wrong working with PHP. ASP.NET will likely be changed in the future, but Microsoft will always deploy a proprietary Web server and scripting methodology, and they show no signs of surrendering market position anytime soon.

On the client side, it is likely that XML -- and variations on the extensiblily model -- will become preeminent. The way that happens is anyone's guess.

I would not make a practice of relying on code generating programs, be it Dreamweaver or CodeCharge or anything else. Learning how to do makes you understand why things work, and understanding why is crucial to producing elegant, adaptable solutions.

The short answer is no. Most software development companies expect you to understand their chosen languages intimately and to develop code in a team environment -- something a code generator is not going to help you do.
Reply:Web development will be eliminated with the exception of working for Web Hosting sites. It is much cheaper and EASIER to use web builders. Not to mention that companies can save THOUSANDS of dollars on Web Servers/Mail Servers if they just buy the services from AT%26amp;T, Yahoo, etc...
Reply:i don't think there will a standard web developwmt language..in 5-10 years. there probably more web developed languages.

i don't know if you can use a code generator
Reply:AJAX and languages that branch from that are becoming good for websites (www.gmail.com is programmed with it)
