Learn basic HTML at http://pagetutor.com, then research on CSS. Then learn PHP or ASP and SQL. Afterwards, concentrate on Photoshop and Flash. If you have familiarized yourself with those, you would have a knowledge in graphics, server-side scripting, databases, and design.
What's the best way to break into the web development industry? I want to be a web designer but have no exp.
create a website - on anything. make sure its really cool. save it on a CD and mail it to every web development Company you know off and the IT dept of every company.
if you can actually host the site on the www - send the link to every company! on the site have a link to your resume
Reply:Don't...
it takes jobs away from those of us WHO DO have experience...
And need the jobs!
Reply:start using http://www.getyourwebsite.biz to design your sites with the site studio, dont need to know anything and you will be impressed . . . then go from there, but in 20 minutes you can figure out this system . .
Reply:Keep sending out your resume. Eventually you're going to find someone willing to take a chance on someone with a degree who doesn't have experience yet.
